  Where are the Young Elders?

  i was appointed as an elder when i turned 30, 25 years ago.

  which was the norm back then.. now, i very rarely here of a young man becoming an elder.

  in our town we have 2 english congregations.

  In the 1970s, when I was in, the youngest elder that I saw was in his late 20s and the others around 40-50. It seems that the situation has reversed. At least they're not as ridiculous as Mormon "elders" who are in their late teens.

  so being around this cult, i always found it interesting that the rest of christianity use ad/bc and the non christians use bce/ce.

  i never put two and two together.

  but, it dawned on me that once again there is hidden proof that the witness cult is and anti-christ cult.

  That's not correct. The reason CE and BCE are used is because Jesus was not likely to have been born then but more likely around 4 BCE or a bit sooner. Instead of redoing the calendar, which would be impossible, a more neutral term was used.

  i just wrote them a mail, telling them to not contact me any more under any circumstances, illness or death (79 and 83 years old).

  unless they leave the cult and would apologize for our f*'.ed-up upbringing which ruined our whole life.

  Revelations only book with specific warning about change.

  revelations seem to be the only book out of the supposed 66 books in the bible that has a specific warning about taking or adding one word to " this prophecy".

  i am curious as to what others make of this.

  i have looked at a few bibles, the last chapter and verses 18-19, state this warning.

  The only religion that I know of who thinks that are the JWs. Others, might use any version they please.

  You can go to biblegateway.com, which is an Evangelical website, and you will find nearly 50 versions you can pick from.

  The Bible is NOT Error-Free

  for many christians, the bible is viewed as the 100% error-free, perfect book straight from god, where every single word was carefully chosen by god for a reason.

  but, usually, when you have a discussion on the topic, these christians will end up saying that only the original copies written directly from the hands of the prophets and apostles were error-free, and all manuscript copies since then are subject to copyist mistakes and other errors.. since zero original copies are in existence, how do we know the originals were error-free?

  why should we think the originals should be error-free to begin with?

  if you were somehow magically put in-charge of the governing body tomorrow, by jesus, with the rules being, you could not teach anything that would be considered outright apostasy and you could not teach anything that would be considered to cause doubt about god's existence... (so as not to arouse suspicion).

  what "new light" or "clarified understandings" would you introduce first?.

  I would write an entire book explaining all their false prophesies from the beginning as well as other issues such as child sexual abuse and distribute it to every Witness free of charge. In conclusion I would say that this organization is not worthy of existence and that all should leave it and let it collapse.

  Then I would sell all their properties including Kingdom Halls and give the money back to the Witnesses in general and the victims of child sexual abuse which can be verified from their records as well as relatives of those who have died from lack of a blood transfusion.

  Finally I would dissolve any legal entities that they have created.
